There is a huge difference between last year and this year that seems to be unappreciated by many. Last year it was hoped and assumed that broadcasters would be ready to buy. They weren't because FCC regs allocation of spectrum, political wheeling and dealing before Congress, etc. hadn't come to an end. Therefore, the broadcasters couldn't make up appropriate specs for transmitters and go out to buy. This year, not only are the obstacles ironed out but the broadcasters are starting to buy (see FCC website). ACRO will get at least its share. The dam is about to break.
