Why no AMD participation in analyst conferences ?

Two possibilities: First, either something big is in the works (e.g. an acquisition), or, 2nd, things are getting REALLY bad, and there is concern that anything said could become gist for a future lawsuit.

It smells more like the second choice, this is not a typical action to take leading up to an acquisition. From what I have heard, AMD's continued existence could be in jeopardy pending a cash infusion, acquisition, resolution of yield problems or successful move to 0.25 micron with good yields. Time will tell.
