Its the other way around. Buy on rumor, sell on fact. If rumor is Dell will exceed expectations, buy, once they announce, whether they meet expectations or not, sell. Either the market will have adjusted for the higher expected return or the higher expected is not as high as the market would have wanted. And, of course, should they not do as well, then tank city.
