Golfer, one of the biggest lies that Obama told regarding Islam was the origin of the word "Islam."
So let’s start with this fact: For more than a thousand years, people have been drawn to Islam’s message of peace. And the very word itself, Islam, comes from salam -- peace. The standard greeting is as-salamu alaykum -- peace be upon you.

The problem is that the word Islam did NOT come from the word "salam." Instead, it came from the word "aslama," which means submission (i.e. to Allah).
