Even if I get annoyed - I try not be personally insulting and my criticisms are of ideas and actions and not ad hominem. Occasionally, I may be condescending - lol. However - everyone here means well and many have spent their lives working in industries or professions where they were able to practice what they preach in one way or another - being good people and moral people. I used this particular thread for years as a news concentrator site - before Google got so disturbingly good at it. If I saw something here that had political relevance - I knew that some due diligence would be exercised and that even if the story supported their politics, it was rarely JUST because it satisfied that political bent. If you look at my profile - there are threads I haven't posted to for years. Pretty much the only place I post on SI is here. As epicure noted - a number of really great people have passed - and a number of really horrible a-holes too. I never feign regret when an asshole dies. If someone hates me - please let them not bemoan my passing. I will effing haunt them to their end if they do (should such things be possible - lol).
