Of course not, because most things we make have other uses. A kg of AL for example.

A dutch tulip bulb isn't a con either in general, but once upon a time it was.

BTW, one of the big issues I see with bitcoin is that if the goal, as many seem to fantasize about is to make identities of transaction hidden, than a very significant part of fraud detection which is looking at your buying habits goes away. So in that sense, fraud with crypto wallets is much safer than fraud with credit cards. Which is another reason to call it a con.

Crypto is indeed the friend of con artists on many levels.
