To whom are you speaking? [Rhetorical question mentioned in jest.] By the way, I confess to not being a grammarian. I participate here to learn and I appreciate everyone's tolerance. My writing experience is mostly related to business analysis, nothing artful or creative. And I am regarded as having a "terse" writing style, probably from having had too much focus on business communications. If anyone cares, my favorite bit of creative writing comes from the closing paragraphs of the short story, A River Runs Through It by Norman Maclean. Some may call it syrupy and overly sentimental, but it touched me as deeply as almost anything else I've read. The movie was a disappointment. Cheers, VP in AZ
