Re: Old Folk Portfolio ... Profit taking. With the market showing weakness this month, sales have been made in WPC .. KMB .. KO. All of these positions were overweight and showing profits. Assuming this market weakness will continue for the next few weeks, cash is being raised with the hopes of putting it back to work next month when earnings season starts. These sales were trims only, they are still decent sized positions. A total of a little over $111K was raised so this may temporarily affect the dividend cash flows. Since the portfolio has such a large margin of income safety, the risk of slowing down or even temporarily lowering the income stream was worth the risk in an attempt to capture some upside momentum next month (hopefully).
