FORT LEE, N.J., Oct. 7 /PRNewswire/ -- Gaming Venture Corp today announced the signing of a letter of intent with Manhattan Gaming, Inc. to explore the openings and operations of future Manhattan Gaming retail locations across the United States.
Manhattan Gaming is a retail gaming superstore dedicated to the continued fulfillment of gaming enthusiasts. Currently, Manhattan Gaming, Inc. has one highly successful location in the heart of New York City at 66 West 39th Street, right off 6th Avenue.
Products sold at this retail outlet include a full range of gaming memorabilia including vintage slots, commemorative tokens and casino chips, personalized playing cards and poker chips, poker tables as well as chess, backgammon and other games of chance and skill. The location also stocks a full library of gaming books and videos. Gaming lessons in craps and blackjack are also given on full tables. Seminars are held regularly on topics including gaming stocks, sports wagering and all casino games. Manhattan Gaming also provides a colorful array of shirts, hats and other assorted casino gifts.
The existing location in New York City is not a part of this agreement but discussions are under way for Gaming Venture Corp., U.S.A. to have an opportunity to receive an option to purchase an interest in the existing location if a definitive agreement is signed.
A definitive agreement is not expected to be signed until the first new location is secured. When that event occurs, a new corporation will be formed with Gaming Venture Corp., U.S.A. and Manhattan Gaming, Inc. each holding a 50% interest. Applications have already been submitted to various locations around Manhattan for retail kiosk locations to be opened during the November to January busy retail holiday months.
Commenting on the agreement, Gaming Venture Corp., U.S.A. President Alan R. Woinski said, "The idea behind this agreement came when I entered the Manhattan gaming location on 39th Street as a consumer. As we have stated before, one of the goals of our company is to incorporate a gaming theme into areas that we have experience in and retail is one of them. The management of Manhattan Gaming has the experience in the start up and day to day operations of these retail stores and we have the contacts to aid profit margins, add a new line of products to their existing blend and implement state of the art marketing plans. We are targeting areas which are feeder markets for the major casino operations, initially on the East Coast. It is in these locations that we are exploring opening our first Superstore. We want to appeal to the consumer that frequents these locations, the ones who enjoy the entire gaming experience. We are exploring marketing projects in conjunction with the casinos and plan on being marketing support for the casinos near our locations. Both parties to this agreement are excited about some of the marketing ideas that we have jointly come up with and feel that all we need now is the right location to put these ideas to work."
