Ted:
yes and no.Interest rates are very important.
When interest rates go down bonds go up and stocks go up
also. In the big depression in the 30's interest rates
where low and so was everything else. When bonds go up
and stocks go down they say it's a flight for quality.
Be careful sometimes things don't make sence.
On commercial for commitment for traders. these guys do this all
the time if they think the commodity will move a certain direction
direction they won't hedge as much and take more of a risk so you
can figure out how their betting.
