I can’t do the math, but the e=mc squared equation should be solvable for ‘m’ fairly easily, though actually doing the experiment that would prove it seems super-hard. These Brookhaven guys claim to have done so. There are doubters.

Yep, the real question is this: if they indeed created matter, what kind of matter is it? As far as I understand it, simply a few electrons and positrons.

Perhaps some day crashing photons together may create bars of gold, or a clone of Salma Hayek, or…..

Sounds like a decent basis for a sci-fi novel.
