Economic local storage is the killer app ... still looking for it. Lots of solar in the pipeline ... I'm surprised at where they will put them. At least we aren't anywhere near the danger of "doing a Germany." We can us some more solar in the mix -- I am not sure about wind ... whether it truly makes economic sense on a grand scale. Coal is much cleaner today that it was of yesteryear -- how viable it is depends on how long folks cling to climate change. Right now it is politically expedient to shut down depreciated assets or even one nearing their depreciated lives.
