I have no problem with multiple parties.

But everyone must keep the big picture in mind too; or the small parties can be used by the powerful to divide and conquer the majority of the minorities, the big tent progressive coalition if you will aka the Democrats.

I am reminded of Republican money donated to Ralph Nader vs. Gore, for example. The Green Party was very good for the GOP in 2000.

However, in the case of Ross Perot, one can reasonably argue he took votes from both parties.
