In this, I didn't. You might have, but that isn't the same thing.

Just because an issue hadn't come up in the past, doesn't mean it constitutes a tradition. It is rare for a USSC vacancy to come up. And a 1 in 4 chance of it happening in an election year. Now I realize things like probability and math are really hard for a cultist, but that isn't my fault.
