Management Sciences Inc. ("CMSI") (NASDAQ:CMSX) reported record earnings and revenue for the fourth quarter and fiscal year ended Dec. 31, 1997.
This quarter represents the 12th consecutive record quarter since the Initial Public Offering (IPO) in September 1995.
For the fourth quarter of 1997, total revenue increased 20% to $19.2 million, net income increased 93% to $2.7 million and net income per share increased 93% to $.18 (diluted), compared to revenue of $16 million, net income of $1.4 million and net income per share of $.09 (diluted),for the comparable fourth quarter of 1996. Consulting services revenue for the fourth quarter, which comprises 99% of total revenue for the quarter, increased 26% to $19 million, over consulting services revenue for the fourth quarter of 1996. For the year ended Dec. 31, 1997, consulting services revenue, which represented 98% of total revenue for the year, increased 29% to $69.5 million, over consulting services revenue for the year ended Dec. 31, 1996. Total revenue increased 24% to $71.2 million, net income increased 54% to $9.3 million and net income per share increased 52% to $.61 (diluted), for the year ended Dec. 31, 1997. |
