The entire intelligent wing of the national electorate fears Texas turning blue. It probably will happen some day but not likely anytime soon.

While pro-abortion folks are drumming up hostility toward Abbott, it is pretty hard to look past him bringing Tesla to Austin, very likely a 17 Billion dollar Samsung chip factory -- which is badly needed as a US asset -- and influx of tech to Houston and Dallas. I just don't see people voting for Beto over that.

The big confusion is the belief that, e.g., a Tesla HQ in Texas means more blue. Tesla is hiring Texas employees, not importing nutjobs from California. That's the point of it.

People have watched California's decline, and I don't think they want that here. You don't, do you?
