Whatever Schumer and Pelosi once were, this is who they are now. They stick knives in our presidents back and you think this is how it's supposed to work.

That's a view. You are the only person, online, friend, newspaper, whatever, who holds it. Doesn't, of course, make it wrong. But a bit suspect.

Just to take one item, the Afghanistan hearings. Neither of us knows the genuine deep stuff. So we're just throwing the proverbial stuff at the wall to see what sticks.

My own would be that there were enough members of the Dem caucus in both the Senate and the House who were not enamored of Biden's Af policies that each leader was forced to have hearings.

Moreover, I think but don't know that committees control their hearing schedules more than the leadership does. But, before you jump on that, I suspect leadership has a role. But for leadership to change the hearings it's a genuine public dustup.

I actually see those hearings as very positive rather than negative. It's what governing is all about. The congress has concerns about the way the president pursues foreign policy so they hold hearings. Sounds right to me.

And if you note neither Schumer nor Pelosi said zip.
