Taras, it was about Cable modems. If you stretch it a bit, the alliance with NEC gives Amati a voice in Telstra and future deployments of VDSL. Nothing too direct at this point I am afraid.

Another point from today's RFP news is the fact that it will be awfully hard for small players to make money in ADSL business. Yes, Amati will collect royalties, but nobody (including themselves) believe Amati can make a business out of royalty collection. If it is true that ALA went in with $400 per line (both sides), I don't see how the smaller companies can get market share. Techie
