I took that phrase to be a return of basic freedoms, not just religious freedoms. Until 2021, Obama was the most lawless president in modern history, perhaps, ever.

In the worlds of Garrett Epps, liberal professor of law, "the constitutional record is disturbingly mixed. Obama leaves the Constitution weaker than at the beginning of his terms."

Certainly, we all recall "The Imperial Presidency" -- an eye-opening moment for me, and I think a lot of other people. But the interference in corporate bankruptcy processes, the crony capitalism on all levels, had set the stage. The corrupt implementation of Obamacare, the "If you like it you can keep it lie", the repeated funneling of cash to the "risk corridors" program (when a billion was real money).

Political profiling by the IRS, totally unanswered. This horseshit continued right up until that barfbag left office, and and Biden learned from it.

Unfortunately, this all returned, orders of magnitude worse, after Trump left office.

Now, the hope is even stronger that Trump will tear down what the Democrats are building, and to rebuild it in a way that they are not able to defeat with a stolen election.
