I just think they were right this time.

This is a subjective issue. We all have opinions on this issue from different value systems and political ideology.

I think we would have gained more by staying in both the big and small picture

For humanitarian reasons, to protect them from barbarism and starvation, military reasons, to keep having eyes on the ground resources, and as a sour dough starter for more civilization in that region of the country, and, to protect the women and children.

We had a two trillion infrastructure and 20 years invested in that county and we just gave it all over to the barbarians.

Bad call..
