Lockheed Martin Awards $6.3 MillionContract to Global Intellicom

NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Feb. 5, 1998--Global Intellicom Inc. GBIT announced that it has entered into a contract with Lockheed Martin Federal Systems, Owego, N.Y. to provide Pentium computer systems that will support a new delivery confirmation system being implemented by the U.S Postal Service. As part of a $218 million contract awarded to Lockheed Martin LMT , the new system will be deployed in over 38,000 postal facilities nationwide by year end. It provides for 300,000 hand held scanners (called Mobile Data Collection Devices), communication cradles, and office computer systems. This program is a major initiative by the USPS to improve package delivery capability and enhance customer service. GBIT is pleased to have been chosen by Lockheed Martin to provide, through its subsidiary Global InSync Inc., the computers that will support this state of the art system. Under terms of the one year contract, GBIT has initial orders for 5,600 systems which will generate anticipated revenues of approximately $6.3 million. This contract represents new business given to Global Intellicom by Lockheed Martin.
