Larry,

If Spectrum can finish the year flat, year over year on both the
the top and bottom lines, that would be a huge positive as it
would indicate all lost IBM revenues were recovered with new business.
When a company of this size loses nearly 25% of their revenues that
could have very easily spelled disaster. Their ability to make this
up (if in fact they did) should be viewed as a highly successful
transition.

I'm confused on your expectations of Spectrum being taken out. The
way I read Pat's summary of her conversation with CEO, I would expect
SSPIF to be the one making a acquisition in 1997, not being acquired.
