I think that the bigger point for Aware is that they have a lock on the ADI chipset. If you want to use the ADI chipset, then you must also use the Aware software. I don't see this relationship breaking down, since it benefits both of the players.

This is why I strongly prefer owning Aware stock to Westell. Westell doesn't have a unique binding relationship with anyone. The only one that TI needed was AMTX, so they bought them.
