Riechers: Thanks for that. Tantalising, isn't it? Not much substance.

The only new point is his spoken desire to have a better relationship with the Street and to work on "C" level corporate officials.

Overall, one would want to invest in a company whose CEO spoke like that - BUT - the same questions which bugged some analysts after earnings are simply re-stated i.e. how will product transition and seasonal factors diminish actual revenues and earnings this quarter?

So that sets up the questions for the evening meeting with analysts! Is BAY actually in a position to answer or has BAY made a strategic decision to be VERY cautiously optimistic.?

At first sight, based on this article, the latter seems to be the case and we cannot expect any radical re-appraisal by any analyst. In fact, regurgitation of the questions by some analysts might depress sentiment temporarily (a few days).

Being an optimist, I am hoping the negative guys will be so impressed by the CEO's gravitas that they will start sounding more optimistic and we will get a more positive sentiment.
