TJ, you touched on a sensitive/dynamic issue.

It is all about solar panel efficiency which cost is about constant but with rising efficiency.as technology advances
Therefore when efficiency was around 10% 15 years ago biomass was more economically viable.
Then in the last 3 years was a jump to 24% on same solar panel size - so biomass was a go and RWE in Germany or Drax in the UK where not price competitive.

Now they are achieving close to 28% and some predict 35% with quantum dots.

Therefore at 2,700kWh/sq.m/year a 20% solar panels field made economic sense pushing price per kWh to few pennies.

As efficiency grows less solar energy is needed to get the same price, but same panel installed in the deserts of Africa or S. Arizona/California or Tibet will produce more electricity and at lower prices.

No miracles in this case no matter how much propaganda is spread around.

Best example is Israel a f*&^%ed up country - solar energy if properly deployed would generate twice the energy needs but because the government is utterly corrupt they use NG instead and solar energy has relative small penetration.

I was thrown out with projects in 2015/16 that would have solved the energy problems
