Lucas, don't confuse the facts: 3Com surpassed Intel in Fast Ether adapter *cards*, not switches, as far as we know.

Intel sells the MRVC switch, not an MRVC adapter card, and has only been doing so since March. So, that particular 3Com comment *does not* apply. Someone else makes the Intel FE adapter card; perhaps Intel itself.

However, the 3Com comments about "We can't believe how quick Fast Ether is being accepted" do apply. This comment applies to both switches and adapter cards...

The logical conclusion here (and of course Wall Street is not logical) is that if the sale of FE switches drove much of 3Com's growth, they aren't the only ones...but then again the Street doesn't even know what MRVC does.

MRVC doesn't sell fiber optic cable via telemarketing; rather most of the revenue growth is being driven by the very same market that has exploded 3Com's earnings.

Glad to straighten this out. If people who invest in MRVC don't know the difference between an adapter card and a switch, please ask me for an explanation.

Please don't ignore the comments made by 3Com which DO apply, and please do avoid misinterpreting the ones that don't.

Dan
