Irony? Read the last line

Actor and producer Alec Baldwin's New Mexico movie set turned into a real-life tragedy Thursday when he fired a prop gun, killing a cinematographer and wounding a director, Reuters reports. Halyna Hutchins, the photography director, was killed and Joel Souza was treated and released from hospital.

Investigators are trying to determine whether the prop gun malfunctioned, as was the case in 1993 when Brandon Lee, son of Bruce Lee, died on the set of The Crow. A Hollywood union has already weighed in with its verdict, alleging a live round was in the gun rather than a blank, and also that the prop master on set was not a union member.

The Baldwin's film, Rust, on which he is a co-producer, is a Western in which he plays the grandfather of a boy convicted of an accidental killing.
