Yep, manufacturing is gone too? Ouch! Now everyone works at Walmart. Guess median US income? $31,000, including the 1%. How can that buy anything but food? I guess a lot of Walmart jobs. If the government pays you more for not working any surprise nobody does? Don’t forget Getting Covid. Most shitty jobs in Amerika don’t even have health insurance, or have one that covers nothing.

I grew up in a small town a bit away from the capital. We played what we had - skiing, both cross country and downhill, were popular winter sports. Some hockey without skates. And a lot of soccer during short Summer. Even though the country sucked at it everybody played and watched. Chess lost its luster now in the age of powerful AI. Nobody cared tbh, Racket sports, tennis and badminton, were popular as well.
