schopenhauer, you meant tons=oz. in the 400,000 of course. I too found that question disconcerting, but while it could possibly be confusing in the "tag line" on their press releases, the company has plainly stated the figures from their own mines before. The Keewatin study has a summary of historical production, compiled by Sidney Norman in 1932 as follows:
Mine production in district: 1.77 million oz Placer " " " : 12 million oz
Listed from BCMD mines BCMD 160,000 tons at 1.2 oz per ton or 192,000 oz Kate Hardy 15,000 to 30,000 oz
from PROPERTY SUMMARY Ruby (Placer) 144,500 oz Ruby (Lode) 1,579 oz Carson 96,000 oz Rising Sun 5,000 oz (approx) High Commission 1,400 oz
Total 470,479 oz
Since this is plainly stated in the company Property Summary, there is no misleading here, but it was clarified in todays call for those who were confused. In any case, what was mined is of some indication, and the fact that 13.7 million oz or so of gold was mined since 1850 in this *district* (and is still being mined at 16 to 1 mine) is stated to show the potential, I would imagine our hopes for profits depends on improved future performance.
Best wishes
