A home network is starting to look very good to me. My understanding of networks is very elementary. I thought I would have to get a third phone line for my wife as she now wants to surf too. If I understand correctly I will be able to set up two or more computers on one phone line connection with a home network.

Could you , or anyone help with a basic proposal? I want to have the capability of putting at least three computers on the network. Possibly four or five. I also want to file share between computers and share printers.

I have a small peer to peer network at work with four computers. We installed an ethernet card on each of four computers. It is a thin net ? set-up. We also used something called Netbui which is something I think came with Win 95. Three machines are Win 95 and one is NT. The network is what I would like in a home network but it doesn't share an Internet connection.

Is the MicroRouter 900i a component that I would add to a network such as the Netbui network described above? What would be the best configuration (type of software and required components) for a simple home network (up to six computers +/-) that provides printer, file, and Internet access sharing? I don't mind spending some money on the software or some additional components if it will make my life easier.

Thanks in advance
