"Larry, I am an investor who originally bought IAS at $36 and I too went to the demo on
the 27th........My point in responding is that my attempt and its outcome to attend the demo was much
different than what you're describing."

Mitchell:

I believe you and I understand what you are saying. I don't think that IAS deliberately refused to show me the demo; I think that, for some reason, it just fell through the cracks. My response(s) were only an attmpt to show that I had tried to see it.

If I ever do see it, one thing I will publicly and openly promise is that I will be honest about my conclusions. If, in my opinion, there is any chance it could work I will not hesitate to say so; but, I also understand why IAS may be hesitant at this point to show it to me. There is also the issue of whether or not I could sign the non-disclosure, since it apparently prevents one from even stating that one has seen the demo work; otherwise, one of the many technical people who seem to have seen it would have spoken up by now? As far as I know, there has been no "third party" positive support by qualified technical people for DWM. I think it is well established that IAS personnel are likeable, and believable, as has been often stated by those who have met them. If that is one of the criteria to show that DWM works, then IAS has passed that test apparently.

With COMDEX coming up in just a few weeks, there is a golden opportunity for IAS to demo DWM in a way which will settle all the issues in their favor, a fact which I am sure they are aware of. There isn't much else to say on the subject until a demo is shown to an audience, prototypes are tested and found to live up to performance claims by an independent testing group (PC labs or one of the many others who would be interested in doing it), etc.

Technical arguments against the feasibility of DWM have been presented and not refuted; the only responses have been testimonials from people who have various levels of "faith" in IAS people. Since I can also see testimonials of equal intensity and sincerity on late-night infomercials for everything from miracle soap to the psychic connection, I don't think that is enough. To be candid, I did some technical simulations based on IAS patent and their descritpions of DWM, half hoping to come up with something interesting to allow for the posibility, however remote, that DWM could work as advertised, but I did not find anything encouraging to go on. The issues which have been raised only become more and more important and believable the more DWM is scrutinized.

I don't feel happy about the situation, especially about those who have lost money on the stock, etc., but even they have pointed out to me that they knew they were taking a risk and are willing to live with the outcome, so, in the final analysis, there isn't much else to say now except "let's see what happens next".

Thanks for taking the time to write to me. I regret that I seem to have created the impression that I am "against" IAS or its people in some way, because I am not. My position is as objective as I can realistically make it, though I'd be the first to admit that I have at times expressed emotional opinions in response to what I have been told by others; I'd rather stick to only what I know to be factual from my own experience. I have enough of that to go on.

Good luck to you and others in your IAS investments.

Larry
