J, I don't have any inside info on ALA, but from their press releases and all the articles I have read, they are doing it all themselves. We should assume they would pay royalties, but I won't go any further than that.

Alcatel was smart. They realized the only thing that matter for RBOCs was cost and they priced it accordingly. This indirectly benefited DMT, which is wonderful since it's the better technology. But we need to keep in mind that in the long run, the companies that can afford to dump will win market share. Techie
