Thanks, it was fairly interesting. I'd extract two points from it.

1 - That a lot of opinions about how things worked and how various changes came about in the distance past is speculation with uncertainties and competing theories with many of those theories pushed with a level of certainty that isn't really supported by the evidence.

and the main point

2 - That the development of agriculture and towns and cities, didn't necessarily lead to or happen at the same time as the development of strong political hierarchies.
