All, No! You are not the only ones that believe in Intel. However, for sure, these are the times that test man's convictions.
I have gone through these times, several times with Intel, over the years. Times when it seemed so clear to me that Intel was very undervalued relative to the future. You begin to doubt your sanety. You ask yourself why is it that the rest of the world, who after all have some itelligent investors, does not see Intel as being of exceptional value at these prices, as you do.
I can only say from my own experience, that each time that I have questioned my rational annalysis and held Intel, or better yet, added to my position, I was rewarded handsomely.
It was therefore reassuring for me to read Zach's note, under the Intel subject on this BB, that Intel's investor relations department reconfirmed what I was told last week, namely that Intel will have a good year in 96, with PC growth increasing between 17 to 20%. Clearly Wall St. prefers to be short term oriented, and not see beyond the next 3 or 4 months. Obviously, for these myopic investors it made more sense to ignor the fact that in this last quarter the Power PC was pronounced dead, or that Apple's funeral appeared to be approaching, or that the conversion to Intel's Pentium standard for the future, has been successfully assurred.
For myself, and obviouly for some of others in this "Intel support group", I choose to focus on the longer term and take advantage of those investors, who in recent days, have weaker convictions.
All I ask is that Intel continue to be forthright with it's investors, employees, users and the public.
Jules
