the latest media gripes about softbank are that they do not pay their top staff enough but that they pay top dollar for their investments. Makes me wonder how on earth they managed to make so many billions of dollars. meanwhile the stock gets no love for ownership of arm or the proposed merger with nvidia whose stock has been on a tear. if the merger go through softbank ends up with 20% nvidia . if not they retain ownership of one of the most valuable chip companies in the world. qualcom ceo who is against the merger seemed to salivate at the thought of owning a piece of arm.
