This Morton Downey thing certainly has me perplexed! Sure hope to hear more tomorrow about the deal. I can see some value in the advertising potential, since, with the unemployment rate being as low as it is, finding workers is the greatest difficulty employment agencies face (more so than finding the positions to be filled.) What better venue than a (presumably) daytime television show to find unemployed people? My girlfriend is unemployed and, despite being quite intelligent, seems to spend quite a bit of time watching "trashy" daytime television. It seems like the demographics of the audience could be pretty good.

I hope that Firamada is trying to get advertising benefits out of the deal and is not going into the TV business for direct profit--that would be too bizarre.
