Paul,

<Does yours have 1280 by 1024 pixel resolution and a 3X Zoom lens?>

Yup, that's the one.

Olympus has two higher end camera's. The D500L (list $899) and the D600L (list $1299). The PC Magazine article only reviewed the D500L. I am guessing that the D600L was beyond the price range they chose to include. In the article the D500L, the Kodak 210, and the Agfa 1280 all got Editor Choice awards. They all have their advantages and disadvantages.

I would be happy to E-mail you a few samples. I haven't had a chance to take many outdoor pictures (only 4) but I will choose a couple outdoor and a couple indoor pictures (which are more taxing do to low light). I might not get to it tonight (already 12:26 AM here) because I just got off the notebook and am now on my desktop downstairs. The samples I will send are on the notebook.

P.S. I researched these cameras more than I have ever researched a purchase before. The field is emerging and progressing quickly and none of the camera's are perfect. There are a lot of decisions and tradeoffs to make but I am very very happy the the D600L. I haven't had any photos printed yet but at 1280x1024 they are suppose to produce prints indistinguishable from regular film (provided the print technology can handle it) up to 8x10". Apparently, you only need 1024x768 resolution to get film quality 5x7" prints.
