Yes, indeed. i think they moved too quickly into a sector - in this case residential real estate - that they only understood from data. In doing so, they forgot that local markets are quickly changeable, and emotion-driven. Generally speaking, that means investor analysis can get this sector wrong because they can't appreciate the personal element in home purchase choices compared to, say, apartment buildings where income is the buyers motive.
