The ultimate greater fool investment... Hodl it for as long as it has massive paper value, sell it and buy real assets as soon as – – hm..., yeah, when? This is why I don't do crypto. I think that when holding individual stocks, it's easier to reasonably approximately spot tops. You get signs, like insiders selling massively, and/or big volatility after a long period of very small volatility as band wagon gets more and more crowded (think GOOG), etc. Crypto is a different beast. That's probably why the people who trade it consistently successfully have become so astonishingly rich so astonishingly quickly. Even for those who like volatile stocks, it's too much.

Maybe the sign for when to sell crypto is when Sam Bankman-Fried sells everything and buys an island nation or something?

Anyways, if I had crypto (which I wouldn't ever have), I would sell it and buy real assets for the paper profits before it's gone with the wind. This mania has lasted longer than (almost) anyone could have imagined. It's just utterly absurd that it's "worth" trillions.
But then again, I have been screaming "sell!" for the entirety of 2021. What comes after 'trillions'...?
