I do not currently have the market time you do... Had expected to.. but life got in the way ..

Anyway.. longterm.. usually small positions greater than a stub and mostly with divvies if possible .. to keep me monitoring... I am now down to 15% of what my Uranium Denison position was... with a stop in place on balance... Riding shares that cost essentially less than zero :) So yes my days of riding a stock down on hope and a prayer are long gone...

I do subscribe to Wayne Rumball stock theory a lot..

but sure things change..

I made a small fortune in the income trust days and then they got sexy... Came a point where the declining yield on current valuation of my holding sent up a flare.. calculate.. what is cap appreciation (sale) vs how many years will yield take to catch up.. and of course things change... It may never catch up .. and of course there was the famous Halloween Massacre of the Canadian Income Trusts.. I was all out ... So yes.. long term changed there... it is fluid... Things I had bought with 6-8+ yields were at 2% on current prices !!!

Expecting market watching time to improve.. so my attitude will be more akin
