The first thing I did was take the laptop caddy HHD out and clone it to SSD with my main computer.

Then I tried safe mode that started undoing the last windows update after which everything is fine.

It took a lot longer for the update undo with the HDD.

Think I'll run some tests on both to see how much better the SSD is.
