Rice University names its first black President.

houstonpress.com

This is significant because Wiliam Marsh Rice, a slave owner, who left his fortune to found a school for white people only:

William Marsh Rice, the founder of Rice University, was a slave owner and documented racist who specifically said in his will he was leaving his fortune for the establishment of a school for “the white inhabitants of Houston, and the state of Texas.”

When I lived in SW Houston, I belonged to the Rice U library benefactors and visited the library regularly. I recall seeing Asian students taking their pictures in front of Rice's statue. I wonder if they realized he'd have been outraged at their presence?
Do you agree with White Supremacists like Tucker Carlson that our society should recognize the racist restrictions imposed by wills and other legal documents?
