Best for who? I sure hate Powell and would love seeing him replaced. Serial bubbles need to stop, and the country needs to return to doing useful stuff defined as doing something other than speculating on financial bubbles. Propping them up makes him the greatest chairman? Why? Volcker stopped inflation, Powell started it. More precisely the Bernank did. Is running the printing press to fill certain pockets but not other pockets your idea of free market capitalism? Looks very crony to me. Deflating US living standard is not a great goal to aim for, what they have done.
