Re: Middle Age Portfolio ... Sells and Buys.

Today I sold long held positions in PG and MKC. The yields are too low to remain in a portfolio looking to create more income in order to help one retire a few years earlier than originally planned, so the dividend cash flows need to grow at a higher pace than PG and MKC could provide.

PG ... 2.38% yield
MKC .. 1.67% yield

The proceeds from the sales were dividend amongst the following:

GOF .. 11.38% yield
MO .. 8.02%
ASG .. 7.33%
WPC .. 5.43%
LEG .. 3.83%
LMT .. 3.33%
CCI .. 3.25%
WEC .. 3.04%

These positions combined, based on the weightings of each position, generate a yield of 5.44% and a 5 year dividend growth rate of 5.20%.

The Middle Age Portfolio, prior to today's moves, generated a yield of 4.00% so I was trying to stay above that metric. I have done this.
