Rick, I'm shorting NOKA this am (puts), partially based on QCOM's announcement. NOKA reports Feb 12th. NOKA system sales have been strong, but cell phones division (they are the world's largest seller of digital handsets) posted a marked drop-off for q ending Sept 30th (still grew, but not at the expected pace). Nokia is a great co., a strong world-wide company, with sales in over 100 countries, but nonetheless I have played Nokia long and short both over the last 6 mos.

MSFT just inked a joint advanced product design agreement with Nokia, which is a big plus, obviously. I believe this info came out after the market closed Thurs, so this info isn't priced into the stock yet. However, these "future products" joint ventures generally don't have a big impact on stocks - however, MSFT partnering with a large co such as Nokia most certainly will bring Nokia new respect on the US Street, and more visibility eventually.

So, that's my play. Another good short to play the QCOM shortfall would be MOT, IMHO.
