Darn the bad news!

TheHill - Judge dismisses misdemeanor gun charge against Rittenhouse

This was supposed to be the easiest charge that the prosecution could make stick. An open-n-shut case.

Unfortunately for them, the law in Wisconsin was murky and seemed to only apply to guns that are short-barreled.

The prosecution had a chance to ask an appeals court to clarify the issue in the middle of the Rittenhouse case, but they didn't because, quite frankly, they are UTTERLY INCOMPETENT:

AP - Explainer: Why did judge drop Kyle Rittenhouse gun charge?
Turner, the former federal prosecutor, said prosecutors should have realized the issue wasn't settled and headed Schroeder off by asking an appellate court for a ruling or filing more briefs. ... "When the judge expressed skepticism early, they should have done something to make sure it's clear. In a case of this magnitude, if I'm the prosecutor and the judge has expressed some skepticism or doubt about this, I'm going to do everything I can to sustain that count. When you heard early on there was some doubt, you've got to get on this."
So there you go, the prosecution had the best chance of winning a conviction on a misdemeanor gun possession charge. Yet they screwed that one up as well.

Now I'll wait while you and your fellow boy-lovers in The Brumar Project blame the judge and accuse him of being a biased Trump insurrectionist, blah blah blah.

Because in the end, justice will be served. Kyle Rittenhouse will go free without any conviction whatsoever. And he will become the poster child for legal firearms defense.
