Thanks... I think you could find charts with that kind of data going way back, the University of Michigan has a huge data base since they do a lot of this kind of research... I think all of this points to recession and not so much inflation... The consumer simply will not pay those higher prices because their income is actually lower despite any reported increases... I get emails all day and every day from large retailers announcing big 50% off sales for only three days, and then on the fourth day day they extend it for another week... Retailers are hurting, look at the bonds, that should tell us something... I'm already in a defensive positions because I don't want to be caught wrong footed, even if it doesn't happen until next year some time... If these markets still work higher, then I'll still do well, but I'm holding solid defensive positions for when it finally hits the fan... GZ
