At the beginning, he introduces from the audience authors Tom Wolfe and George Gilder, who incidentally used to post on SI.

So the authors of these two books we found had discussed this subject together. Small world. I actually messaged Gilder once on SI, joking about Al Gore and his invention of the internet. We're all using the Al Gorithm, don't you know? Maybe Al created the simulation too.

Yikes - when I look at what I just wrote, it looks like A.I. - artificial intelligence. That's not how I meant it. Nothing artificial intended - only real and still with us, with a great sense of humor.
