Your mention of past securities ethics violations reminds me of other early days stuff that occurred here.

After I found that Patrick Byrne, formerly of Overstock, had started posting on his DeepCapture website again, I ran across his past postings of a cast of characters that I used to run across here back when stocks were more interesting to me than politics. Byrne has been like Forrest Gump with all the stuff going on with the last two presidential elections, as well as the 2008 economic meltdown and the illegal short selling that precipitated it. He's definitely an insider on seeing the corruption that has overtaken this country and was way ahead of most of the rest of us.

SI was way ahead of the game on social networking though, which is why and how it got abused early on. Kudos to them for keeping it censor algorithm free, as far as I can tell.
