This is the way these things go. The left invents a new word. Since the left is in charge the word becomes associated with incompetence and stupidity. Then the left censures anyone who uses the word and they invent a new one and demand you use that.

The left is killing themselves from two fronts:

1) Hiring" typically they hire people who look different but all think a like. It is not diversity it is conformity. In order to achieve their "rainbow" primary hiring factors are subjugated to a lesser status. To be fair, I have seen a lot of bad hiring decisions but this further complicates the equation.

2) Loss or primary mission" This is even more important. No longer do the police worry about catching bad guys. Now they make sure they are sensitive, are diverse and fly a rainbow flag, Their primary mission is lost and that is their reason for existence.
